O-Okay, so I know everyone's been asking tons of questions already, but I gotta add another to the pile here.

[Looks like Hagakure's launching right into things this time, although his voice is coming off quite hollow and forlorn. Oh, and he's not even on camera either. Taking up the camera's view is his Elgyem, Grey. Grey stares curiously at the 'Gear at first, before glancing off toward where Hagakure's voice came from.]

Is it possible to just...straight-up die from one of those freaky Pokemon's bites?

'cause like, even though I stayed indoors to hide from 'em, one got into the house somehow and bit my hair and head! I was fine at first, but then I got super cold. I tried to curl up in bed and sleep it off, b-but it just got worse and when I woke up, I- I--!

[He sounds practically on the verge of tears. Meanwhile, Grey's been slowly edging the view toward a semi-transparent figure in the darkest corner of Hagakure's old bedroom. That figure seems to be Hagakure! He's not looking this way, but there's no mistaking that something is up with him.]

I think I died and came back a ghost! I- I keep going through things! I can't even hold my 'Gear anymore!

P-Please...please someone tell me this is all some kinda cruel joke! I just got back! I can't be dead in a world where death shouldn't even be a thing! Please!

[Just as Hagakure's about to totally lose it, he takes notice of Grey's filming of him. With ghostly, glowing reddish eyes, he stares wide-eyed at the camera like a deer in the headlights, before the feed suddenly cuts out. Looks like this was meant to just be audio post, but Grey saw the need to aid Hagakure by giving the network a full scope of the damage.]

[action]

[Residents of the Dangan House might hear a bit of wailing coming from Hagakure's room from time to time, which certainly doesn't sound like any of his Pokemon. He also hasn't come out of there since the transformation took effect.

Eventually though, he'll get desperate enough to offer a cry for help...in the most creepy way possible, of course. Ghostly voices out of nowhere isn't the best way to get a hold of someone, but again, he's not exactly thinking clearly right now.]

[...Well. That's certainly worse than Cecil's face crystals and Carbink ears, by far.]

Considering that Misdreavus can breed just as easily as any other Pokémon. I've no doubt you are still alive. Merely... temporarily ghostly.

[Well, Chihiro hasn't actually left the house since the transformations started, either...actually, since he was attacked, rather. It was just a little scratch, really (and the offender was very promptly dealt with by Chihiro's enraged Garchomp), but the changes had occurred swiftly and suddenly.

Now he is Mienshiro, and he'd been having quite a bit of trouble doing things when his hands were buried in an almost comical amount of fur and loose 'skin'.

But when he hears those ghostly moans coming from Hagakure's room, he anxiously ventures out into the hallway with his ears flat against his head and his Linoone creeping by his side. He holds his paws close to his face as he walks closer to the sound, because it does sound familiar, and yet...]

H-Hagakure-kun...? Is that you...?

[BEING A SPOOKY GHOST IS HARD, CECIL.

The feed still shows Grey for the most part, but Hagakure's figure seems to be floating in and out on one of the sides. He's peering over to see who's talking to him.]

That's uh...definitely a weird piece of proof. How do you know dead ghosts can't breed?

[Okay this is definitely a conversation Hagakure would get into...]

It's just..."ghostly" kinda implies dead by default, ya know?

[Hagakure's in the middle of a particularly ghastly groan when Chihiro calls for him, cutting it short.

His hollow voice responds from the other side of the door.]

Fujisaki-chi? What do you want...?

[As if he wasn't moaning and whining in an attempt to get someone's attention or anything...

Attention-seeking or no, Chihiro's presence still causes him to retreat into the darker shadows of his room. As he does this, things might get a little extra spooky on Chihiro's end because the door to Hagakure's room suddenly creaks open on its own...

Okay, that's a lie. Grey managed to open it. The Elgyem, although initially startled by his trainer's friend's appearance, beckons for him to come inside. Apparently things must be dire if even Grey looks a bit nervous about this.]

[Chihiro can't help but jump a little when the door suddenly opens, his shock only mildly soothed when he sees Grey hovering there. He shares a quick glance with Isamu before stepping carefully inside, his whiskers and hair standing on end as his ears swivel back in response to the moaning in the corner.

But that's definitely Hagakure...what he can hear of him, anyway.]

I...I heard you calling, um...is everything a-alright?

...You have a point. It's not as if I had the chance to ask Father about it...

[Since he's haunting a shrine on a mountain and only coming out when the world is in danger, and all.]

I'd ask my Ghost-types for details, but I fear it would be insensitive.

Oh that's a surprise you're the same sort of thing as me. Though if it makes you feel better, I think we're more living dead then just plain dead. At least that's what my Pokemon explained.

[Killua's form had taken on the same sort of eerie though he seemed oddly calm.]

It could have been worst.

Uh... [Did he just hear that right?] Sorry if I brought up some hard stuff. You've...communicated with regular ghosts, though?

[Well, Cecil's communicating with a ghost right now. But Hagakure's currently having a hard time admitting that he's become one at the moment.]

[For everyone's sake, Grey leaves the door open when Chihiro and Isamu enter, allowing a good amount of light to filter into the room. It doesn't do much for the eerie chill in the air, though.

A figure, somehow darker than the darkest shadows of the room, shifts and moves along the wall furthest from the light. Hagakure's voice comes riiight from that shadow.]

Oh...I guess I was calling, huh?

[Ah yes, now he finally admits it. The truth of the matter is that while he was calling for attention, he didn't actually think about what he wants if he actually got said attention.

So with some consideration...]

I don't wanna freak you out or anything, but...I don't think I'm doing so good, Fujisaki-chi. I...I dunno what that freaky Pokemon did to me, but I...

[He trails off, still having a rather hard time coming to terms with this. The atmosphere grows just a little more oppressive in the meantime.]

[Now this is a surprise. Hagakure wasn't expecting to find someone in the exact same predicament as him. This is really fortunate, actually.

Rather than shying from the camera like in his previous responses, he takes front and center next to Grey.]

Whoa...you really do look the same! I wonder if we got bit by the same thing...?

[But more importantly,]

Though I dunno if I feel better about that...it's still dead in the title, ya know?

I did run into a lot weird crap before this happened so that could be it.

[He honestly should be scarred by now.]

I certainly didn't feel like dying anytime soon either, but this is better then just being plain dead.

[Chihiro shivers against the chill, even though the fur that covers his body does well to keep him insulated. He strains to try to see Hagakure in those shadows, able to hear him but not yet being able to make him out clearly from that figure in the darkness. Isamu sidles up close to Chihiro, nearly situated between his legs as he coils around his ankles with his blue eyes riveted on the corner where Hagakure is.]

You too?

[He says quietly, his worst fears realized. It's been all over the Network, but he'd been hoping that at least those inside the house wouldn't have gotten attacked...even though he himself did.]

Hagakure-kun...you can come out. I...one of those Pokemon did something to me, too.

Only once, when my world was at stake. And to be honest, he did all the communicating; I merely followed his advice and listened to his final request.

[Please don't give him a final ghostly request, Hagakure. He's not equipped to deal with boss battles or cryptic advice right now.]

Dang... Can't say I haven't had my fair share of last requests, but they were never anything world-saving! Sounds like your world went through some dark stuff.

[He very nearly adds a 'too' to the end of that sentence, but narrowly avoids letting it slip. That could've lead to explaining he's not ready for, especially when he's too busy worrying about being dead!]

I...I think I'll save mine though. 'cause I just can't believe it! This has just gotta be some...weird...ghost-like disease...

[He's reaching, of course. But he really has no explanation for what's happened to him.]

Too?

[Hagakure repeats, realizing that he may not be the only one in the house who is infected with whatever this horrible disease is.

Just that alone gets him to emerge from the shadows. First, a pair of glowing yellow and red eyes appear, then just his ghostly head peeks out from the shadows' edge.]

Don't tell me you're a ghost too, Fujisaki-chi?!

...Wait...

[It seems he's grossly mistaken here. Chihiro sure did have something happen to him, but it didn't have anything to do with ghosts. He's definitely a lot...furrier...

Dumbfounded, Hagakure slinks further out, revealing that while he has a whole body, his arms and legs are nearly invisible due to his transformation.]

Oh man, I guess they really did do a number on you too, huh? Is that...a Pokemon's fur...?

I fail to see how it's better than being just being plain dead... This way, we know we're dead. That's pretty hard to deal with!

[HE HAD SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR AND NOW HE'S AWARE OF IT...]

[It took everything Chihiro had not to stiffen and back away when Hagakure started to come forward, but reminding himself it was Hagakure, his friend, helped him hold his ground. He just...happens to be a bit more incorporeal now, which is deeply concerning for many reasons.

To that Chihiro nods a little, his whiskers twitching again as he draws his paws- which can't even be seen thanks to the long furry appendages covering them- closer to his chest.]

It's, um...like Yuki. My Mienshao, I think...

[It's the only thing to explain why his hands...or paws are a bit useless at the moment.]

All too often. We've attracted far too many threats from beyond our planet, in the last twenty years.

[The fact that the threats had to come from an outside source is the only (very, very tiny) silver lining to having to deal with... everything he's had to deal with.]

I've no doubt it'll be temporary. Back when many were affected by an illness that gave them elemental powers, all symptoms disappeared after a few months.

[Believe him Chihiro, it's deeply concerning for him too. Possibly the most concerning for him, since he's the one who's incorporeal.]

A Mienshao, huh...

[He pictures Yuki, from what he remembers. Chihiro does definitely resemble that. While it's certainly different from being a ghost, he figures that being weasel-like must be really freaking weird too.]

But Yuki didn't bite you, right? That'd suck pretty bad...

[It's one thing to have a random freaky fusion Pokemon attack you, but having your own Pokemon be infected would be way worse.]

Did you say beyond your planet? [...] Okay, we're definitely gonna have to talk about that sometime when crazy crap isn't going on.

[At least Cecil temporarily distracted Hagakure from his lamenting over this whole ghost thing...! But seriously Cecil don't take him up on that, it's such a trap.]

Seriously?? That must've happened before I showed up. That's super insane...but maybe not as insane as this. Being temporarily dead is like, super duper insane.

[He spent so long trying to avoid admitting he's dead, too. That sure lasted.]

Oh no, of course not! Actually...I was scratched by a Pokemon I didn't recognize. It looked...sortof like Yuki...

[But clearly very different, and also fused with an Amaura.]

Was it the same for you?

If you insist. But considering the length of that particular story, I'm not certain this world will ever calm down long enough for that talk to happen.

[Between those moon-related threats (twice- no, that should probably be twice and a half) and those other worlds-related threats (once, because he's not counting the ones he cannot remember, thank you very much), he has enough to stories to tell for years.]

The insanity is quite worth the temporary nature of your affliction, I've no doubt.

Well, as long as it's interesting I guess it'd be worth it!

[It's not like he's not prone to long, rambling stories about things that sound completely crazy to everyone else.

...we'll see how long he lasts.

But back onto the ghost subject, he can't help but stop to consider now...]

Ya know...I guess you've got a point. If it's only a short-time thing, I guess it's not...all bad?

[He finally gets it.]

Oh! G-Good!

[The sudden stumbling over his words comes from him still trying to fight this random floating, as though he's actively refusing his ghostly instincts. Eventually though, he sighs and just gives up, letting himself hang limply inches off the ground.]

Not exactly, but sort of? [Nice vagueness.] It showed up in my room, and it looked kinda like Natsuki? 'cept it was the evolved form of Ralts I think, so I thought maybe she evolved while I was asleep or something. But then whatever the heck it was went straight for my hair!

[He rubs at his head as he talks about what happened, though since his hands are practically invisible, it looks like he's just waving in the air while his ghostly Misdreavus-hair mysteriously gets rustled.]

[If he's unnerved by Hagakure's ghostly appearance, he can't imagine how he's feeling...Chihiro can't help but sympathize as he watches his friend float there dejectedly.]

Oh dear...I'm glad you weren't hurt worse, but...

[But, well. This still is a problem.]

Are you going to be alright?

You... [Give him a sec, he's a little stunned.] You know, I'm pretty sure there's not much worse than being dead, Fujisaki-chi.

[He doesn't say that in a snappy sort of way, but he does still sound pretty depressed about it. He's just not sure how to word it lightly. He is dead in a way, and that's not good.

Still, he hates being that blunt with Chihiro, because he knows he's just trying to help. So he does his best to put a good spin on it, as much as every fiber of him wants to wallow instead.]

But I guess I'm still kinda here? And you can see me, so it's not like I'm some kinda traditional ghost who no one can see but are terrified of. So...there's that.

It was interesting enough when I lived it. I can only hope my story telling will do it justice.

[Listen to his story. This... may be our last chance- Wait, wrong game.]

It's an opportunity to discover a life without physical obstacles, if only for a short while. It'll make shopping much easier.

[Ah...he is a ghost, isn't he? Chihiro doesn't really want to say he's dead- nor does he want to think about that too much- but it's there and there's really no avoiding it.

He nods a little, lifting one of his paws to brush back the hair framing his face.]

Mmhh...I know that has to be scary.

[He doesn't want to invalidate Hagakure's fears, after all. How much worse could this get?]

But it...it can't last forever, can it?

[He nods along, his ghostly form shifting between various degrees of visibility.]

True, true...It might be kinda useful to travel through walls and stuff. But wait, how'll that make shopping easier? What would I do if I couldn't hold all my groceries 'cause I just go through stuff?

[THIS IS CRUCIAL, CECIL.]

It's pretty hard to describe, actually. But mostly, it's cold. Really cold.

[With a small sigh, he floats along, eventually crouching in midair so he can still be kinda level with Chihiro. He's getting a closer look at Chihiro's Mienshao form, though it may come off as a little unsettling since those glowing eyes of his rarely blink.]

But I know that can't be easy either. Can you even use your hands properly...?

[He gingerly reaches out to poke at one of those weird paws, but he hesitates because he doesn't want to freak Chihiro out if his hand goes through him.]

I guess we gotta hope that's true. I don't even wanna mess around with the idea of being stuck like this forever.

[It is a bit unsettling, but...knowing it's still Hagakure helps. He lifts one of those paws in question, frowning at it.]

N-not very well...but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

[Which is an optimistic outlook at best, considering the fact that it's taken him a while just to get used to walking around without tripping over his own claws.

Chihiro nods again, looking up at Hagakure with his ears falling back against his head.]

Everything seems to sort itself out eventually...like when everyone fell asleep a few months ago.

[Cecil blinks in confusion at that.]

Do you not have Pokémon who could hold your bags, and perhaps even fly over the shelves?

[Maybe not everyone uses their team as shopping assistants, Cecil. Maybe some Pokémon don't like shopping.]
